Stroomverbruik neemt exponentieel toe

Niet te snel varen vergroot de range van een elektrische boot enorm. Bij 70% van de rompsnelheid is 5x minder motorvermogen nodig, dan bij het varen van de rompsnelheid. Om structureel 2 tot 3 kilometer per uur sneller te willen varen is vaak een verdubbeling van het accupakket nodig.
